I use this product to correct the dull and pale effects winter has on my complexion. After I apply it, my skin instantly becomes more lively and radiant. It's the perfect primer because it's lightweight and creates a smooth surface for the rest of my makeup.
I LOVE this product. I usually mix it with my foundation to obtain an all-over glow, or I use it in place of my highlighter. Either way, it leaves me with a natural sun kissed look!
CREAM CHEEK COLOR
I'm a fan of cream products because they go on smoothly and are so easy to blend! Whenever I'm in a hurry, I use this product and it gives me a quick and instant burst of color.
EYE COLOR QUAD
Tom Ford eye color quads come in stunning color combinations. The colors are perfect to layer and create looks that can transform from day to night.

There are many products on the market that promise you flawless skin. But no matter how many facemasks, serums or moisturizers you try and slather on to the outside of your skin, beauty for your skin starts on the inside. I’ve researched and put together a list of ways to attain beautiful and healthy skin without having to buy products.
Your skin is basically a canvas for your body’s health. If you’re not eating well, your body will signal that your diet needs to change by exhibiting skin problems.
Sugar, dairy and gluten all have a common role in causing breakouts and inflammation. Try avoiding one or all of these foods for about two weeks and see how your skin changes.
Aim to eat dark leafy greens, berries and fish. These types of foods are rich in vitamins, minerals and antioxidants that your skin needs to eliminate toxins and rejuvenate.
BREAK A SWEAT
Glowing skin is one of the many benefits that one can obtain from regular exercise. Getting your heart rate pumping boosts your blood and oxygen circulation. This nourishes your cells and helps remove toxins from your body. Plus, when you break a sweat, this relieves clogged pores leaving you with a natural glow! Exercising also lowers high cortisol levels, a stress hormone that when high can lead to breakouts.
Caffeinated drinks like coffee, tea, soda or alcohol can lead to dehydration. This can cause dry skin and worsen wrinkles. If you want to get a dewy and glowing complexion, guzzling water is essential. Staying hydrated helps your body deliver nutrients to your cells, which keeps them plump and appear firmer on the outside.
I try to follow the 8x8 rule: eight 8-ounce glasses of water per day.
DON’T TOUCH YOUR FACE
From touching your phone to door handles and money, your hands come in contact with a lot of bacteria. When you touch your face, these germs as well as the oils from your hands can then transfer onto your skin and not only cause breakouts, but also cause you to become sick.
GET SOME ZZZ…
It’s called “beauty sleep” for a reason. Sleep is the time when your body’s skin cells repair themselves. When you lack a good night’s sleep, your skin’s restorative process is cut short and can lead to dark circles, fine lines and breakouts. By getting 7 to 8 hours of uninterrupted Z’s, you’ll wake up with a more smooth and radiant complexion.
This shoot was taken at one of my absolute favorite beauty boutiques: Cos Bar! If you’ve never been to Cos Bar before, you must go!! Cos Bar has 13 locations with more opening soon. Click here to find a location near you.
Whenever I had a high school formal, Cos Bar would be my go-to place to book makeup appointments. My experience there has always been so unique and positive. Every time I entered the store I was treated like royalty and left looking and feeling like the-bell-of-the-ball!
One of the things that sets Cos Bar apart, is that they host special events and bring in top makeup artist from the industry. I've loved meeting and having the experience of getting my makeup done by some of the most talented and well-known makeup artists. I also love that Cos Bar keeps me updated on the latest, most desired beauty products- as well as gives me tips on what would specifically work well with my features.
The company is very selective in the beauty brands they choose to carry, so whenever I purchase new products there, I know that I’m getting the best-of-the-best!

Giorgio Amarni Luminous Silk Foundation
There's a reason this foundation has been ranked #1 for years in a row. This foundation is like no other: it goes on like silk and makes my skin look flawless.
Temptu Airbrush Machine
How awesome is an at-home airbrush machine?!?! It's so easy to use and gives my skin an instant, effortless finish.
Investing in good makeup brushes is so important because high quality brushes last longer and make a huge difference! Artis brushes are unique in that they're made with CosmeFibre, which is an engineered fiber specifically made for applying makeup. I'm obsessed with them- they're so soft!
What I use each brush for:
Bobbi Brown Natural Brow Shaper
I love this product! It's basically like mascara for your eyebrows! It's a quick and easy way to get thicker and fuller brows.
Sisley Phyto 4 Ombres Eyeshadow Quarter
This palette is beautiful and is great for any season. These shadows are gel-powder which means they last long and won't settle into lines or creases. The shimmer in the shadows also captures the light and creates a subtle glow. Truly eye-catching (;
Sisley Eye Twists
I've come to love applying eyeshadow with a pen. I usually apply them with my finger to create an effortless smokey-eye.
Special thanks to Cos Bar and Claire Little Photography.
I have a huge obsession with Coconut Oil! You may think that it’s just for cooking, but there are actually endless ways to use it in and out of the kitchen. Here are my favorite ways that I’ve implemented Coconut Oil into my daily routine.
MAKE UP REMOVER
Coconut Oil is a great substitute for make-up remover. It’s less expensive, works better, and you don’t have to worry about harsh chemicals contained in some store-bought wipes.
I apply Coconut Oil to a round cotton pad, and then gently rub off my face and eye makeup.
This is the best shaving cream! My skin feels much more silky and smooth compared to when I use regular shaving cream.
It’s an ultra-moisturizer. After I shower (this is when the skin is most absorbent) I’ll lather Coconut Oil all over my legs and dry spots like my elbows and heels. At night, I’ll use it as a facial moisturizer and eye cream. My skin is left hydrated and luminous!
Coconut Oil contains many ingredients that are essential for strong and healthy hair.
I’ve noticed that after I use it, my hair is extremely moisturized and soft.
To do a hair mask, I warm up Coconut Oil in my palms and then massage it into my hair. Afterwards, I put on a shower cap to lock in heat (and prevent the oil from touching my clothes). I like to keep the oil on my hair for as long as I can and often sleep with it in. Otherwise I’ll apply it to my hair 30 minutes before I shower.
Be sure to shampoo twice so you don’t end up with greasy hair!
IMMUNE SYSTEM BOOST
Lauric acid and caprylic acid are two antibacterial ingredients found in Coconut Oil that help improve your immune system. Whenever I feel sick, I’ll heat a spoonful of oil in a pan and gulp it down- I say “gulp” since it doesn’t taste that great by the spoonful! However, it’s worth it because it really helps me feel better when I have a sore throat or don’t feel well.
Coconut oil makes a great shoe shine. If my leather shoes are looking old or scuffed, I’ll buff them up with a rag and oil and they practically look brand new!
I hope these are some helpful tips on how to use Coconut Oil! Buy some here.
This past year I had the “brilliant” idea of dyeing my hair from blonde to brown. BIG mistake! I hated the color and immediately wanted to go back to blonde. After weeks of re-highlighting my brown hair, my hair became over-processed, dry and eventually broke off in some places. Yes, the horror of it! I’m now in the long process of re-growing new and healthy hair.
Even if you haven’t damaged your hair like me, here are some of the best ways that I’ve found to keep or get the healthy hair you want.
CHANGE YOUR WASHING ROUTINE
Wash your hair about 3-4 times a week vs. everyday. Over washing your hair can dry it out by stripping it of its natural oils. If your hair gets oily quickly, try using a dry shampoo. I love the brand Batiste.
The great thing about this product is that it comes in a variety of “hair colors.” I love using the blonde dry shampoo because it makes my hair look fresh, clean, as well as adds volume.
Rinse your hair in cold water. The heat from hot water can cause breakage. I wash out my shampoo with warm water and then finish rinsing out my conditioner with cold water. The warm water opens up the hair’s cuticle shaft, while the cold seals the cuticle and locks in moisture.
USE HAIR MASKS
Because my hair is damaged, I’m sleeping in coconut oil about every other night. It is extremely moisturizing and has done wonders to combat my dry ends. This is my favorite product to use as a mask because it’s all natural and also great for so many other things that I will touch on in another post.
CHOOSE PRODUCTS WISELY
I choose hair products based on the ingredients in them. I avoid shampoos and conditioners with any of the following toxic ingredients listed in this article.
USE APPROPRIATE HAIR TOOLS
The best way to untangle your hair is to use a wide-tooth comb. Always start at the ends and gently work your way up to the roots.
Don’t brush hair when it’s wet. However, I have found that the one exception is to use a Wet Brush. I’m obsessed! It’s also great for brushing out extensions.
USE HEAT SPARINGLY
I typically air-dry my hair instead of using heat. If I use a blow dryer, I’ll first apply a heat protecting spray. Also, I try to protect my hair from the sun by wearing a hat.
WATCH YOUR DIET
You can nourish your hair from the inside out too. Foods with omega 3 such as walnuts, salmon, and avocado can help as well as taking Biotin supplements or prenatal vitamins.
In conclusion, always listen to your mother… she warned me not to dye my hair brown in the first place. Oops. Thankfully hair grows back and with these tips it can be healthier than ever.
