I’m especially excited the weather is cooling down now so I can get a little more use out of my wardorbe.
This is one of my favorite outfits! I love mixing patterns and textures. The trick to mixing patterns is to vary the size and/or shapes. With more circular patterns, like camo, aim for mixing in smaller and/or geometric patterns such as stripes. Next week I fly home for Thanksgiving break. I plan on spending time with family, friends, and continuing my daddy-daughter tradition of making pumpkin pie. My mouth is watering just thinking about it! If you have any favorite Thanksgiving recipes, feel free to share :) XOXO B

SHOP THE LOOKDRESS: From BCBG | PURSE: From Jimmy Choo (similar above) | SHOES: From Anthropologie (similar above) This fall season, I indulged in the metallic trend. I wanted to keep my jewelry and accessories simple because my dress (from BCBG) is a statement of its own. My purse makes up for the lack of jewelry; it’s from Jimmy Choo and called “the bangle bag”! I love the contrast of the dark brown bag and the gold reflecting from my dress- it creates such a rich, fall look.
I wore tight knee-high boots to balance the bulkiness of the dress and create a sleek appearance. My boots are from Anthropologie however you can find them here. Have a wonderful day! I usually wear mine during the fall, and especially in the presence of a bonfire!
I recently went back home to Minnesota for fall break, where I did a little pre-birthday shopping. I found this flannel dress at Anthropologie. I love it’s versatility: I can wear it open with jeans and a tee, or alone as a dress (shown above). I paired this dress with one of my favorite cardigans (also from Anthro.). I'm obsessed with the fun textured pattern on the back, and the neutral color makes it easy to throw on with any outfit. I found my little fringe purse in the chaos of LF's annual sale in Dallas! LF is a store based in LA that sells a lot of chic grunge-wear. It was my first time visiting their store, and it was overwhelming (in a good way!). They had mounds of clothes spilling off the tables that everyone dug through. It was kinda like a big treasure hunt- and I definitely found some treasures that day. Boots and dresses will always be a favorite look of mine, even more so now that I live in Texas. This flannel dress and my brown cowboy boots will definitely be making an appearance to Billy Bob’s sometime soon. XOXO B |
